Sherpa Software To Introduce ToneCheck For Lotus Notes

Newest Edition of Compliance Attender Extends Domino’s Mail Rules Capabilities to Help Companies Prevent Data Leakage and Ensure Compliance with Internal and External Email Policies

Pittsburgh, PA – February 1, 2011 – Sherpa Software, a leading email management, e-discovery and email archiving provider, announced today at IBM Lotusphere 2011, the development of ToneCheck for the Lotus Notes/Domino market. Sherpa has entered into a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Lymbix, Inc. to license their ToneAPI technology for this new product offering.

Under the terms of the LOI, Sherpa will develop ‘ToneCheck for Lotus’, based on Lymbix’s patented sentiment technology. Sherpa will be developing the plug-in initially for Lotus Notes, but plans on using their proven expertise in the IBM-Lotus suite to also integrate ToneCheck into Sametime, Quickr and other IBM enterprise software applications.

“Studies show e-mail messages are consistently interpreted incorrectly which can lead to violations of corporate policies and potential HR issues” explains Sherpa President Kevin Ogrodnik. ‘ToneCheck for Lotus’ will flag sentences with words or phrases that may convey unintended emotion or tone, and then help you re-write them”. With ToneCheck, companies will feel more secure and may reduce their liability exposure by enforcing compliance with their corporate policies.

ToneCheck for Lotus is a plug-in that will check the content of messages for tone, and alert users to the language that might be misunderstood or interpreted as ‘negative’. Sherpa estimates delivery for Lotus Notes in the summer of this year.
