Managing PST files can present a host of challenges. Securing data to avoid loss or corruption, performing eDiscovery or enforcing retention policies are just few examples. PST Backup Attender from Sherpa Software is designed to help administrators meet these challenges. PST Backup Attender is distributed to workstations on the network via Group Policy where it will silently install and operate as a background service. The desktop agent will automatically scan local hard drives for PST files then enforce the backup or retention policies stored in the system registry during installation.

Typical needs include the ability to:
Secure vital PST information by backing it up to any UNC path on the network Provide desktop users with granular restore options (entire PST or individual messages) Enforce corporate retention policies by removing messages based on age, size or other criteria Monitor workstation status by reviewing the XML based report file
