Archive Attender® Extends its Reach to PST Files
Sherpa Software Releases Archive Attender Version 1.1
Pittsburgh, PA, December 21, 2004 – Sherpa Software has announced the latest release of their automated email archiving tool, Archive Attender for Exchange 1.1. Archive Attender moves critical data out of Exchange information stores and into a secure external device to help companies reduce storage, secure information and comply with regulatory requirements.
Archive Attender for Exchange adds functionality that will automatically archive information out of Outlook Personal Folders (PST files). For many organizations, reaching data stored within PST files is extremely challenging due to their decentralized nature and the lack of automation in Outlook and Exchange to access them. With Archive Attender, administrators will have the ability to automatically access and search PST content for the archive by size and age of messages. In addition, version 1.1 will also improve search and recovery capabilities for the administrator and give users, with the administrator’s permission, the ability to search their archived data.
“The release of version 1.1 shows that Archive Attender is continually evolving and answering our customers demands. Our goal is to offer a complete archiving solution that is both comprehensive in its functionality and efficient in its processing,” says Kevin Orgodnik, Vice-President, Sherpa Software. “Exchange shops of all sizes are feeling the effects of regulatory, corporate and legal compliance. Our job is to provide an effective solution that secures corporate data and is non-prohibitive in cost.”
