Discovery Attender for Exchange Adds Regular Expressions and MD5 Hashing
Sherpa Software Releases Discovery Attender for Exchange Version 3.0
Pittsburgh, PA, August 26, 2008 – Sherpa Software today announced the release of version 3.0 of Discovery Attender for Exchange that improves search performance by 25%, increases the collection of detail with expanded Pattern Matching and adds new functionality including Indexing of Results and Automatic Labels. Discovery Attender for Exchange is a software tool that automates the search and collection of electronically stored information (ESI) from PST files, Exchange mailboxes, public folders and common file storage areas. It automates the production of responsive information for litigation, e-discovery and internal investigations in a timely, defensible manner.
Discovery Attender for Exchange version 3.0 has vastly improved search capabilities by including such features as Pattern Matching, Templates, Automatic Labels and MD5 Hashing. Pattern matching allows users to find complex criteria as PCI data (e.g. social security numbers, credit card numbers), or patent numbers by deploying Regular Expressions and enhanced wildcards. Automatic Labels allow users to enter a secondary set of criteria. This is particularly helpful for users who mark and exclude privileged data without running a separate search process.
Other enhancements include the ability to find conversations between senders and recipients. If there are suspected breaches in codes of conduct, the conversation search can be used to specifically target employees’ interactions with one another. Additional search features include an updated search wizard, expanded retrieval of metadata fields, with flexible keyword and address storage for reporting optimization.
More than being reactive, Discovery Attender provides the ability to manage electronic data on an ongoing basis through routine monitors. With this product, companies will reduce the time and costs associated with search and discovery, secure potential evidence/critical information and mitigate liabilities.
"This release adds improvements to every aspect of the product,” says Marta Farensbach, Product Manager Sherpa Software. "It simplifies the search setup while adding tons of new functionality. Since all the features - from pattern matching to searching within results - have been requested by existing customers, we expect this newest version of Discovery Attender to be very popular”
