Sherpa Software Releases Mail Attender® for Lotus Notes 6.1
Pittsburgh, PA, July 15, 2004 – Sherpa Software, a premier content management software provider, has announced the latest release of their flagship email management and archiving tool, Mail Attender for Lotus Notes 6.1. Mail Attender for Lotus Notes is a complete email management solution that offers extensive content filtering, policy enforcement and archiving capabilities to companies looking to address issues relating to storage management, content discovery and compliance.
Mail Attender for Notes 6.1 adds functionality that will automate many of the manual processes found in Notes 6.0. In addition, it will provide quicker processing times, take measures to further protect the authenticity of information and customize reports. Mail Attender currently has the ability to enforce creation and activity restrictions that prohibit users from sending/saving or deleting/editing specific messages. In 6.1, this will be taken a step further to report on the specific users and number of attempts made by each user to delete or alter a protected document or to create/send a new message that is non-compliant. With this functionality, companies can maintain the authenticity of documents and report on any and all possible security breaches within the enterprise.
Mail Attender 6.1 also adds additional automated controls for enforcing/deleting full-text index via requests and restrictions. This gives administrators greater control over storage capacity as well as decreases the processing times for large content searches. Additional storage management features include flexible scheduling options for mail database compaction and the prevention of duplicate documents stored within the document archive.
