Electronic discovery (or e-discovery) is a critical issue in today's corporate environments. It has been estimated that one-half of information included in legal discovery today is found in email systems. As corporate litigation becomes more and more mainstream, it is no longer a question of whether a company will be involved in a lawsuit, but rather a question of when. A key driver for the discoverability of electronic content is the recent amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedures, focusing much more attention on the discovery of electronically stored information (ESI).
